The ForbiddenCove Staff is proud to announce the The Jolly Roger Contest III!

The Contest will begin on March 1, 2012, and end on [edit] MAY 21ST, 2012, at 11:59:59 EST. We are pleased to offer a variety of brand new LEGO "Pirate of the Caribbean" sets for each winning entry! That be 2 full months to get your game on for Pirate adventure!!

This contest be absolutely unlike any other! There be absolutely no size limitations, nor restrictions for SNOT bases, except where so noted in the categories!

We leave it to you to challenge yourself and build your best! Everyone, even with a limited supply of bricks, should be able to enter several categories. Creativity and imagination is what counts, not who owns the most LEGO bricks.

And, check out the contest prizes! A fine treasure lies there for the taking! And, to the best Pirate MOC builder of them all, goes a very special prize - Blackbeard's own Queen Anne's Revenge!!

Special thanks ye to our JRC3 prize donors: The LEGO Group, BrickArms, and the ForbiddenCove.com Admins. Rules for the JRC3 can be found here!

Please post any questions related to the contest in this thread. The submissions page will be available in due time, so off with ye swabs, and may the best sailor to our "Ports O' Call" win!

ARRR, Mateys! Best of luck to ye! :arr

Can entries from one category be part of another? I am asking because Île Sainte Marie, Madagascar is going to require a lot of buildings and if one was to enter the New Providence, Bahamas category and/or Algiers, Algeria it could be part of the larger town.

Quick question on the New Providence Set. I assume that the requirement is that the set it 64x32 studs and that it is not important that this on the two 32x32 plates. If that correct?

New Providence, Bahamas Set 1592 Remake

Rebuild the classic LEGO set #1592 "Town Square" in pirate form. (Restrictions: Base must be built on two 32x32 baseplates, conveying the 'path' of the original set. MOC should include the details found in the original, such as merchant store, carts, fortress, patron, and statue.)

Not sure what you are asking, but in this category, your MOC needs to be built on two 32x32 baseplates.

Sorry for being unclear, I was asking if 4 16x32 blase plates, laid out in the same pattern as the original model was OK. In other words using two 16x32 base plates to make each of the 32x32 base plates.
