What be the Rules?
ARR! It be simple! Build yerself a “Pirate Santa”, and show how he be a’celebratin’ the Christmas Season in typical piratey form. (The 'Season' means Christmas and/or New Years Eve, mind ye.) Note: Please keep the content of this MOC appropriate for minors. Any MOC built with innuendo or inappropriate content can and will be disqualified and removed.
How many times can I enter?
You may enter once and only once, so make it count!
How do I enter?
All ye have to do is post your entry link in the contest entry thread. If you want comments/feedback on your MOC, then post a separate thread in the Pirate MOC forums.
Are there size restrictions?
16x16 studs is the maximum base size allowed.
Is there a rule about overhang?
No overhang, or ye will be the one hung.
Can I build SNOT as my base?
Aye, SNOT is allowed… but use LEGO, not sea boogers.
Can I use tiles?
Aye, tiles be fine.
Can I use a WIP or another MOC that I’ve modified?
Nay.
Can I use custom pieces?
Nay. Use LEGO elements only.
What about me pictures?
Host them wherever you want, but be ye forewarned! You are limited to three pictures in the subfolder or set. I am not going searching through your entire photostream on Flickr to find your entries. Also, more than three pictures in the subfolder will automatically disqualify you, so a fourth picture used as a thumbnail is NOT permitted. You got time, so make your photos count and do a good job with it, or be thrown over the side. Pictures can be a maximum of 900 x 1200 pixels, in either orientation.
What be the dead line?
This contest will end on the 31st of December, 2011, at 11:59:59, EST. All submissions must be entered and visible by that time. (This means if you are using Brickshelf, they better already have been moderated and are up for all to look at without using a deeplink.)
What’s the treasure?
This be a winner-take-all contest. So, along those ratlines and to make 2012 a very good year for sure and certain, the winner will receive a $50 LEGO Gift Card. (Note: Winner must live in a country serviced by LEGO.com’s Shop-at-Home. If you don’t, then sorry - please don’t bother entering, as that be the one and only prize.)
Be thar anything else?
Aye! If you do not like the rules of this contest, then go elsewhere to find another contest. Arguing will immediately disqualify you.
One winner will be chosen using set criteria that follows the rules. Any complaining or whining after the fact, in other words, being a poor loser, and you will be permanently disqualified from any other contest I run.
The Admins of ForbiddenCove.com reserve the right to remove any entries at any given time for any reason.
